Job Title: Assistant Site Manager

Shoreline Adventure Center, located in picturesque Wreck Cove, Nova Scotia along the Cabot Trail is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a site manager. This position is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for cleaning cottages, assisting with property maintenance, providing excellent customer service, and helping to deliver programming such as guided hikes on our beautiful property.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough cleaning of cottages, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens and ensuring cottages are well-stocked with supplies.
• Assist with property maintenance tasks such as lawn care, gardening, and general repairs
• Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, including answering inquiries, providing information about our property and services, and resolving customer issues in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assist with delivering programming, such as leading guided hikes, providing nature interpretation, and coordinating outdoor activities for guests.
• Maintain, clean and organize facilities and equipment.

Requirements:

As a Canada Summer Jobs position, applicants must be:

• between the ages of 15-30
• legally entitled to work in Canada
• Prior experience in cleaning, property maintenance, customer service, or outdoor programming is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Basic knowledge of outdoor activities, such as hiking and nature interpretation, and ability to provide information to guests.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.

Compensation:

• $20 per hour
